Seven Days Of Fashion

It's that time year again! It's every woman's time of year it's you guessed it Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. It is a week long event that centers on what us woman love the most, FASHION! Fashion week allows fashion designers, brands or "houses" to display their latest collections in runway shows. Also buyers are their to see what is new in the fashion world. 

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is held twice a year.One of our favorite thing is to see our favorite designers such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, BCBG Max Azria, Stuart Weitzman just to name a few. The city that never sleeps plus the latest fashion trends is something that you never want to miss. 

 Now of course many of us are not as privileged as Mr. Andre Leon Tally and have front row to every show. But lucky for most of the major brands started streaming live from the shows so now we all can have our very own front row seat. Below is the amazing line up. Coming Clean

What is one thing that all women hate more than not knowing what to wear? Yes you guessed it, cleaning out your closet. As fall is coming faster than we think. No plans for Labor Day weekend? You have plans now which would be cleaning out your closet. It can be a great challenge when first faced with the idea of even doing it. There are a couple tips and tricks that we love to use.

Tip and Tricks:

1. Plan a Day (Your whole day you will need it!) 

2. Take everything out of your closet, yes EVERYTHING!

3. Separate into 3 Piles : keep, donate and sell

4. Organize by what you wear the most i.e. work clothes or workout clothes

5. Organize by Color

By organizing your closet it will help you create more looks with the clothes your already have. It is a great idea to have a friend with that can help get rid of those jeans that you have not worn since high school! Turn it into a party. Get Wild with Skirts!

Before fall is fully here, why not add a dash of print and color into your wardrobe! Printed skirts are in motion, bring out your "wild" side. Choose either floral, geometric or a pop pf color and you'll stand out on the streets! These skirts are great transition pieces from Summer to Fall. You can wear them with wedges in the summer and than in the Fall pair them with tights and boots. Check out some pics below that inspired me from Pinterest.

The Labor Day Law

With Labor Day slowing approaching that means no more white, right? No white after Labor Day has been on of the top rules in the fashion bible for years. The rule simply states that no one is to wear the color white after Labor Day. Now why would they make a silly rule like you ask? When thinking about not wearing the first thing one would ask is "Who made this rule up?"

Looking to find the perfect answer for my lovely Art Of A Woman readers I there are two main explanations. The first one being that in during the 1800s only people of the one percent bracket of having money only wore white. I know, I know what your thinking its 2013 right.  The next reason is simply because white is a summer color. White is known as a summer color. Wearing white in the summer also helps keep you cooler in temperature.

Well here at Art Of A Woman we encourage every one to be their own kind of woman. Aren't rules meant to be broken? Now if you want to try a white in the upcoming winter month then try the color called "winter white". Winter white is an off white ivory color that people tend to wear in the colder months.
